The film rights for The Infinite Wisdom of Harriet Rose have been bought by Festival Films, an independent production company which was founded in 1992 by award-winning producer Ray Marshall. Festival have produced many Catherine Cookson mini-series for ITV. Feature films in development by Festival, as well as The Infinite Wisdom of Harriet Rose, include The Colour based on the novel by Rose Tremain.
